Theoretical Approach : Person-centred counselling based on a professional relationship of integrity, trust and confidentiality. I draw on a range of strategies and interventions according to client need. Code of Ethics : BACP Ethical Framework for Good Practice in Counselling & Psychotherapy Details of Therapy Offered : 50-minute sessions,
ideally at weekly intervals.

Experience / Special Interest : Since 1998 I have been practising as a counsellor in a variety of settings - private practice, NHS, Employee Assistance Programmes, counselling agencies and student counselling services. Within the professional counselling relationship I aim to provide non-judgemental acceptance, empathy and genuineness. I adapt my approach to suit the needs and aptitudes of each individual. I work with a range of issues, including stress, depression, addictive or compulsive behaviours, anger, relationships, personal faith, bereavement and loss. Clients are supported in understanding their feelings and clarifying their thoughts, utilising their own abilities and resources, with a view to making the changes they desire. Supervision Offered : Yes (Post Graduate Certificate in Counselling Supervision). I supervise experienced counsellors
and trainees. Fees on request. Qualifications : MA, LCGI, Dip.Counselling,
Certificate in CBT, Certificate in Life Coaching UKRCP/MBACP (Snr.Accred) Other Training : Couples counselling,
Mediation Clients : Individuals or couples. Self-referrals accepted, or via GP or employer. Fees : £35 for individuals; £40
for couples.
Reduced fees may be negotiated for short term work. Other Services : Mediation / restorative justice.
Group facilitation
There is currently no legislation
governing the use of the term “Counsellor”.
