Theoretical Approach : For individuals and groups, the Group Analytic approach combines Humanistic, Gestalt, Systems Theory and Psychodynamic thinking, using what is most required for any particular moment and problem.

Details of Therapy Offered : Short or longer term as appropriate. My approach is to listen, allow any distress to be expressed and, where relevant, explore past experience and relationships. From this you may gain new insights and self acceptance, and life can become different.

Experience / Special Interest : Since 1993 I’ve worked as a therapist in a GP Surgery, an FE College and an NHS psychotherapy department. This has given me experience of a wide variety and severity of problems and situations. I also work with Eating Disorders as I have a specialist practitioner’s diploma in this field.

As an NHS Senior Psychotherapist I work with individuals and groups, and train and supervise health professionals and doctors. I combine this with my private practice, working with individuals and groups, adolescents, adults and the elderly.

Supervision Offered : Psychodynamic thinking with a Humanistic presence in the room. Groups or individuals.

Qualifications : MSc Group Analysis, Member Institute of Group Analysis, Dip. Counselling, UKCP, UKRCP, MBACP(Snr.Accred.) Cert.Ed.

Other Training : Dip. In Practitioner Skills for Eating Disorders (NCED). Solution Focus Training. Balint Leadership.

Clients : Individuals or groups.

Fees : £35-£40 individual sessions and £100 a calendar month for weekly group sessions.

Other Services : Balint groups. Therapeutic Weekend Retreats
